Throughout the last year I have made small changes in our house, such as my light bulbs and recycling everything I can, but this year I am making the effort to turn our house as green as we can...I am switching out all our cleaners (laundry, dish, household and personal), when what we currently have is we are going to get new ones that are not harmful to the environment and are made with natural ingredients (Method, seventh generation and green works are ones we are going to try). The price difference is not much, if at all different. I am switching Cam to reusable diapers at home, and chlorine free disposables when out and about for long periods of time or on vacation. I am going to buy recycled paper products (t.p., paper towels, and trash bags-7th gen) when possible, look for products with less packaging, and buy organic when possible. These products are not harmful to the environment when grown, and are better for our bodies too! I will continue to recycle (even though Moses Lake has no curbside pickup), turn off lights that are not needed, power down equipment when not in use, unplug phantom chargers, wash in cold water and turn my thermostat down/up by 2 degrees. You don't have to make all these changes, but just one of two small ones is helping to protect the planet your kids have to live on later. SO THINK GREEN and be the change you want to see!
Go and measure your eco-footprint, ours is 45. I am gonna take the test again in a few months and hopefully have a better score.
Let me know what yours is and what your gonna do to go Green!

THIS IS GREAT!
No-one here cares about the environment, they all think I'm a tree-hugging freak (no comment needed).
My score was a 62, but I took this vow 2 years ago – so I’m a little farther ahead.
To those who say we are all over-reacting?
What if your right? - Nothing…
What if we’re right? You’ve wasted all this time, and it may be too late.
Great job Whit!! Maybe you will inspire a whole movement in Moses Lake! Ang is responsible for the entire East Coast!
I got a 59, we have been turning the heat down to 60° at night since we have electric blankets. That has made a big difference.
This is a great website for taking credit for green actions, and has some great ideas for others.

Clarence and Lynn have been switching out the outdoor lighting at their apt building for CFL's. They only have half of them switched out so far and their electric bill (which is only for this nighttime lighting) has dropped in half!!!
I want to find a great set of matching water bottles to fill and leave in the bonus room fridge and downstairs for fast, portable, reusable bottles. Any thoughts on where to find some really great ones Ang?
I love the Nalgene bottles, they are big and are really strong(I have dropped mine alot), dishwasher safe and come in lots of different sorts of tops, they even have little kid ones!
