A weekend in Spokane

We went to Spokane for the weekend for Guy's 10 year reunion...the reunion, not so much fun, but the rest of the weekend was good. When we bailed on the reunion we went out and finally tried The Melting Pot restaurant, Guy has wanted to forever! It was yummy, but expensive. Saturday we just spent the day with his parents, which was great. Sunday we went to our church over there, I miss that church SO much!, and spent the day with Grandma. I miss everyone over there, and Spokane itself. I really cannot wait to move back over there (although it will be a few years still)

Guy and I's vacation is coming up this next weekend! I am so excited and I am hoping a few days off will rejuvenate me, because I am still feelin pretty blah in general

In other news, Cam is going to crawl ANY day! He gets up and rocks, scoots everywhere (he is NEVER where we leave him anymore, and always has something he shouldn't in his mouth), and can now sit himself up from his tummy! So I went from trying to keep him from crawling, to trying to get him to before I leave him for 4 days, because I am sure he will most likely learn it when he is at grandmas and I won't get to see it! I will be very upset :)

My Birthday weekend

Well, we had fun over the weekend, on Saturday evening we had a BBQ here at the house and had some ice-cream cake. Mason ran around like a crazy monkey with Wyatt and Aaron and Cam had fun with Caleb and Colton. I had a good time being with some adults too!

Then on Sunday we all went to the water park, I was kinda dreading this, but it was tons of fun! Cam played in the water for like 20 minutes, ate then crashed in his stroller for 2 hours! So I was able to play with Mason and we had a blast! I am looking forward to taking him again!

Shopping...for me!

Yep, I actually got to go shopping for myself!!! Guy came home last night with flowers and 2 gift cards, 1 for Fashion Bug and one for Hastings (its a book store)! So I went and got new jeans and 2 new shirts last night I decided to wait on the Hastings one so that I could have 2 days of shopping, so I will use it next week sometime.

We are having a BBQ on Saturday with a bunch of people from around here to celebrate my b-day, I am going to get an ice cream cake from DQ :) We are also FINALLY going to go check out the water park (that is 2 miles from our house) on Sunday with my friend Stephanie, her husband and her 3 boys...should be a fun weekend!

In other news, I took Mason to the Dr. today and he has a full blown double ear infection...IN JULY! I hope this is not an omen for what will come in the fall. So he is starting antibiotics and hopefully his fever and pain will ease in a few days, because I am kinda done with cranky, clingy kids :)

Happy B-Day to me!!!

Its my birthday, I am 25! Mom said 25 was hard on her, I don't find it to big of a deal one way or the other...so far nothing has happened for my day except a few phone calls and the boys letting me sleep till 7! (I feel so much more human if I can sleep till at least 7)...we are having a BBQ on Saturday, with a bunch of friends from around here, and gettin an ice cream cake...I will update you all later if anything cool happens today...

Colds in July!

Blah! Colds are supposed to be in the fall and winter, summers are made for fun! But nope, not here. Cam has had a yucky cold since we got home from Seattle that has his eyes sticky with goo in the morning and this morning he woke up banging and pulling on his ears, so, off to the doctor we go...Mason has teetered on the edge of getting sick too, yesterday he spent the day lying around in his bed and watching movies with a slight fever, but not much else from him...so far...

A perfectly shitty day...

yep, that's right, I said it...today has just been one of those days where being a mommy and a wife sucks...I am overwhelmed, overtired, overstimulated and under helped...I have broke down in tears once already, I am sure it will not be the last...I miss family, both the Seattle and the Spokane sides, my baby is sick and does not want to sleep unless drugged, my pre-schooler has a bad attitude and does not want to listen to a word I say and I am frustrated with my husband...BLAH! I could really use some adult conversation and a few hours away from my kids, and a good strong margarita!!! And I found out Spenser is going to be in Seattle for a few days, but I cannot make it over there until the end of his trip and I will only really see him one day :( I miss him like crazy...anyway...Any wise suggestions from those of you who have been here, done this? ... love you all and miss you!

Ups and downs

to having a 10 year old in the house...for all of you who do not know, Hannah is in town spending July with us...she is very helpful with alot of stuff when the boys are awake, but when they are asleep she is kinda crazy :) I am used to having quiet when the boys are down, but not any more, and trying to get her to go to bed before 10 is like pullin teeth :) I think she is kinda bored already, because when the boys are napping we can't go and do anything, and so far we really haven't been able to do anything since she has been here, except gym camp, because the first pay check of the month is the rent check...so hopefully we will have more stuff to do the next couple of weeks while she is here...wish me luck! :)

Mason loves going over to Stephanie's because her boys have TONS of guns! We went over to her house for a BBQ and her nephews were there too, so in total there were 7 boys and Hannah :) Poor girl...but they all had fun and we had awesome seats for the fireworks, Stephanie's yard looks right over the lake and they shot the fireworks right across the lake! It was great! And everyone was VERY tired when we were done :)
