Gettin out and about

The boys and I have been getting out more in little old Moses Lake, and have met some new people. Stephanie has 3 boys, Aaron is 8, Wyatt is 4 and Caleb is 4 months. Mason loves playing with Wyatt and Steph and I get along great, she even watched the boys for me earlier this evening and Guy and I went out to dinner, ALONE! I have also met some other moms, mostly with babies around the age of Cam. We have been to a few play dates, visited some local parks, fed some seagulls and on Monday we are hitting the lake for the first time.

Blue Heron Park

Mason starts Gym camp mid-June. It is a day camp, he will be there 4 hours in the morning, and it is 4 weeks spread out through the summer months. I am really looking forward to this just because it will get him out of the house for a while and I can spend some quiet time with Cam, he is really getting fun to play with! The boys are also starting Mommy and me swim classes in 2 weeks, just so they can be comfortable in the water throughout the summer, because we will be at the lake, or the water park alot.

Summer is shaping up to be pretty good, I have a couple trips to Seattle and Spokane planned, plus a trip for just Guy and I out on the coast. It also looks like Hannah could come and stay with me a couple weeks, and I am working on getting some other friends out here for long weekend trips. I am getting more excited about being here now that I know some people and there are things to do since it is warmer.

Spokane Falls

I lived in Spokane for 2 1/2 years and drove over the falls almost on a daily basis but never actually stopped and got out and really looked until the last weekend...and it was a GREAT time to stop, with all the snow melting the falls were ragging and gorgeous!

"Camping" in Spokane

Well, we were suppossed to go camping in Montana over the long weekend, however, the weather did not look favorable. So we figured for the price of gas we would just spend the weekend at Gary and Dodi's. We were all nice and lazy and even had a camp fire :)

Silly Camden :)

Cam with Aunty Peach, he is such a wiggle worm :)

Cam loves his new jumparoo!

Peachies in town!

My sis came into town today to see me! She will be here until Thursday just to hang out with me and see the boys...Cam and I are both pretty sick, they started him on antibiotics today, so I hope we still have fun...I think she is looking for some down time though, she works ALOT. So I will show here all there is to see in Moses, should take about 10 minutes, and just let her play with the boys :)

A day with my Daddy...

oh yeah, my mommy too :)...My parents came in for a quick visit this weekend, we didn't do much, but it was nice...the highlight though was spending the day with my dad. I rode with him to Spokane to get the waterbed out of storage, so we had like 5 hours together. We had breakfast together, talked alot and listened to some music. I had a great time with him, I don't think I have ever got to spend time alone with him like that. So Daddy, when you read this, I LOVE YOU and I had a great time spending the day with you!

We also set up Mason's new twin bed while they were here, and he looks so tiny in it! I can not believe how big he is getting! How has 3 1/2 years passed so quickly? He seems to like it though, and I love the way it looks in his room, I am looking at other baseball decor for his room now.

Sick Babies

Cam has the nastiest cold. So not only is he miserable, but I am miserable because he does not want to sleep. He is very congested, has a gross mucusy cough and is just generally miserable. I am sure his ears and his throat must hurt, along with his tiny body, because mine did when I was sick last weekend. I hope he gets better soon, because we are supposed to go camping next weekend, and my sis is coming to visit us next week! My parents are coming in today and will be here for a short visit, until tomorrow, they are bringing us the bed I bought Mas last weekend! Whoo Hoo!

Planning a getaway with my hubby...

We are going to go away for a weekend at the end of July with NO kids, just the two of us! We have never really got to do this. We went camping when we were dating, and spent a weekend in Montana this last summer because we were there for Guy's friends wedding. But, i was pregnant and sick and it was just a motel room. This time we are looking at going to the coast, near the rainforest (which I have never been too, how sad is that! Lived there for years). I am looking into nice hotel rooms/ B n B's. What is a good price to pay? I have no idea what they usually run, and remeber, it is of course the peak of the season :( But I am really looking foward to it and I want it to be special. We are going right between both of ours birthdays, so it is our gift to ourselves :)

No voice...

which my husband may have found as a blessing today :), but it sucks! I am sick on the one day of the year that was made for me to do nothin! So sure, I am laying around in bed, but my head hurts, my nose is stuffed up, my throat is KILLING me and I have hardly any voice :(. I hope I feel better tomorrow because trying to manage Mason with no voice could prove to be the most challenging thing I have ever done.

A FAB weekend!!!

I arrived in Seattle on Thursday night, spent some time with my mom and got a FULL nights sleep! And it was just this side of a coma, because my body was not listening for anyone to wake up :) So we got up early on Friday and hit the garage sales, and we found some GREAT stuff!

* long skinny table for my entry ($15)
* a HUGE cat scratch condo ($20)
* a brand new coffee pot, with timer! ($5)
* this cute coffee canister with matching mugs ($10)
* a bike for Mason ($10)
* some clothes for the boys
* a leap frog learning pad with 4 books ($8)
* a big painting for my blank walls ($15)
* a brand new, REALLY cute scrapbook to do Cam's baby book ($2)

And my MAJOR find, that was a tough chunk of change to swallow, was a twin bed for Mason. It is almost brand new and I love it! The wood is a stained blue, with natural wood on the top for accents, the head and foot board are slotted wood. It came with an almost new box spring and mattress set and a really cute comforter set that is vintage baseball theme. I got all that for only $130 bucks! I am so excited for mom and dad to bring it out here next weekend so I can get it set up!

So, after a day of garage salin we met up with Peach and we took mom out for mothers day. We went to The Rock, had yummy fries and pizza, and ALOT of liquor! Mom and I were HAMMERED when dad picked us up 3 hours later. I vaguely remember the car ride, and calling Peach pomegranate and finding it HYSTERICAL. Poor dad had to help both mom and I up the stairs and put us to bed :) I woke up the next morning feeling like someone put slugs in my mouth, but I was not hung over! (The secret is an ENTIRE bottle of water and 3 aspirin before bed!)

Then mom and I garage saled a little more, loaded my car, and I had lunch with David on the way out of town. I had SO much fun, it was AWESOME to spend so much one on one time with my mom, I really miss that. We are going to make this an annual event! I did miss my boys though, and I was happy to see them when I got home. I am currently pretty sick, I felt it coming on before I left for Seattle and the drunken night so did not help, I barely have a voice, my throat is KILLING me and my head is congested. I am going to spend my mothers day tomorrow resting in bed and trying to get better, wish me luck! :)

Off on my own!

I am heading out to Seattle in about an hour, and I am going ALL ALONE!!! No kids, no husband, nothing to do but see my Mommy for a nice Mother's Day weekend. We are hitting the Gold Creek/Silver Firs garage sales on Friday morning, then going out with my sister to see which of the 3 of us can hold down the most Mexican food and tequila...I am a light weight, this should be fun :), Dad is gonna pick us up so we don't even have to worry about getting home :). Then on Saturday we may hit Ikea, which I LOVE and the last time I went Mason was tiny and he was with me, so it will be nice to walk through without worrying about a little person.

I am really looking forward to a mellow weekend, it has been tough adjusting to Moses Lake because I have NO family here, none of mine, none of Guy's. I am making friends with some other mommies, but they just can't replace your family. I am glad that the weather is nice now, because we can travel to Seattle/Spokane easier and more often now, although, I may have to sell Mason for gas money :)

BLAH!

Mommies should get sick days too! I feel yucky and Mason's crazyness is making my head hurt even worse, and it is only 8am! I have a headach, a nasty sore throat, a really tight neck and my body aches...I hope I feel better for my trip...I will go regardless, because I am SOOOO looking foward to a little bit of alone time, but it would be so much nicer if I felt good while I was on it.

A nice date

Well, when we went to drop the boys off at the gym (it is the gym where Mas takes gymnastics, they have parent survival night 2x a month for really cheap) there were like 35 kids there already. They are not really equiped for babies, so with that many kids running around we decided to just leave Mas and take Cam with us. He was SO GOOD! He sat in his seat while we ate dinner and talked to his toys, he looked around at people from his seat while we were in the book store and the same at the video store! So we had a pretty mellow evening, and when we picked up Mas he was EXAUSTED from running around for 2 hours :) He was all red and sweaty and starving. So he scarfed a happy meal, came home and crashed. Cam ate, then he went down, now we are watching a movie all by ourselves :)

A Date!

We are going to dinner, possibly even a movie, tonight with NO KIDS! Holy Cow! That has not happened in...I can't even remember when...I think the last movie we saw was sometime right before Cam was born! Anyway, i am excited! :) I will let you know how it goes.

Whoo Hoo!

I just got $1200 bucks deposited into my account! Thank-you tax people! I have the urge to shop, to bad all I got is a Wal-mart :)
